The locally crafted Old Fashioned, bottled by the Dotters Family in Sorrento Valley, is now the only bottled Old Fashioned to take home Double Gold at both the SIP Awards and The San Francsico World Spirits Competition in 2025. The Double Gold Medal was earned when the cocktail received Gold Medal ratings from every member on the panel during the judging process in the Pre-Mixed Cocktail/RTD (Min of 25% AbV) category.
Now in its 17th year, The SIP Awards evaluated over 1,300 entries from 47 countries in a double-blind format with nearly 300 consumer judges. Tastings took place both with curated tasting kits and a live tasting event to ensure feedback “is unbiased and directly reflects consumer preferences, free from industry influence,” according to the SIP Awards.
